Meet the Campaign

Dan Murphy, Campaign Manager
The candidate’s twin and better-looking brother is managing the Murphy campaign in title only. Everyone here is working hard to spread the message; Dan just happened to be the first one to join up. Dan attended Emory University before the tuition skyrocketed and is also a graduate of Phillips Academy. He has worked as a mover, a mason’s laborer, a legislative aide, a consular officer, and is currently working as a framer and carpenter. He is a former Golden Gloves boxer, a musician, and a published poet.
Doug Dagan, Director of Communications and Technology
A former secondary school instructor in science, Doug was a scholar at Middlebury College, and a fellow with the Knowles Foundation. Doug is an environmentalist, political activist, and enjoys long walks on the beach. He became a part of the campaign after listening to WBUR’s profile on Patrick, and is thoroughly enthused with the prospect of sending Patrick to Washington. He is currently applying to law schools to pursue his interest in Environmental Law, but would much rather affect change through the office of our future Congressman, Patrick Murphy.
Gráinne Murphy, Director of Policy and Research
Patrick’s award winning sister is on sabbatical from her career as a professional Irish fiddler, and remains thankfully retired from the practice of corporate law. Gráinne is a graduate of Duke University, with an A.B. in English, an M.A. in literature, and a JD in law. Gráinne has provided the campaign with her extensive international and professional experience, her vast reserve of energy, and her limitless optimism.
Dan O’Connor, Operations Director, Deputy Director of Research
Dan is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and a lifelong resident of the city. His employment background has focused in the arena of finance and banking. Having a strong analytical ability, Dan has done a great job providing the campaign with the information we’ve needed–including up to date baseball and football scores, and lines on upcoming games.
